Hi, I am a self-diagnosed woman, I am 44 yo, and I thought for a while, and it is very important to me to be diagnosed by a proper doctor. Can you please tell me the best way to be diagnosed with autism?
Because I tried to ask my new GP, (just moved to a new house) , the only answer I got was a letter from Fife Health e social care partnership saying that I was not placed on the waiting list because they only conduct ASD assessments if it was really affecting my mental health. First, they don’t know anything about me, how can they know, second the only reason I am not in a negative state of mental health is that I had the luck to be a stay home mum. Can anyone tell me how to get the ASD assessment, please?
