We’re thrilled to have received an award from the National Lottery Community Fund Scotland, made possible by National Lottery Players, to help us run our local SWAN Places meet-ups over the next 12 months.
SWAN Places are autistic-led groups, offering peer support, information and the opportunity to connect with other autistic women. Our Awards for All grant will enable us to start new groups in more remote and rural areas, so wherever you live in Scotland you should never be too far from a local community of autistic women.
The National Lottery Community Fund Scotland Chair, Kate Still, said: "This project, delivered by SWAN: Scottish Women’s Autism Network, is a great example of community activity in action, showing just what can be achieved when people come together for a common cause or to help others. It’s all thanks to National Lottery players that we can help give charities and community groups throughout Scotland greater certainty during challenging times."
